Day 3

What are three of your biggest passions?

1. photography
2. music
3. teaching

I am by no means a photographer, not even close.  I do, however, lovvvvve a camera, and everything that you can do with it.  It is a hobby that I have had since I got my very first ghetto huge digital kodak camera when I was about 14.  I then progressed to a smaller Canon digital and Canon Rebel 35mm....And from there to a Sony Cybershot point and shoot, and now, to my Canon Rebel XS DSLR.  I love the editing just as much as I love the shooting....

Music has always been a major love of mine.  Almost every genre from old country, to emo, to bluegrass...I don't discriminate when it comes to a good beat or some amazing lyrics...I am the type to make a special mix cd for road trips, or even short trips...

And last but not least, teaching has my <3.....I have a B.S. in Secondary Education / Social Science from the University of North Alabama...Teaching is my number one passion as far as a career choice.  But the field I chose because it encompasses all of the subjects that I love, is a male dominated subject, and with the school systems in pro-ration from the horrible economy, I have never been able to use my degree....

Slacker...ahhh...a horrible, horrible slacker

So, the last time I posted, I posted about how I have been lacking in my blogging...and had decided to do a 30 day blog challenge...in which I did day 1, and then didn't post again until...well...now. ha.  Yes, I am a slacker, but in my defense, I have so much going on. This weekend is the yard sale / fund raiser for our IVF baby fund.  We have 2 garages full of donated items to sale, and my friend Kandice aka Scrumpture and Brooke are making yummy sweets to sale.  So, we're hoping to bring in at least a little money for that!  Also, Kandice will be holding a bake sale May 14th locally, and I think you can order online! Check out her blog for details to come soon, I'm sure.  Anywho, on to day 2 .....

Day 2: 2. Has a painful experience ever had a positive impact in your life?

Yes.  That would have to be our infertility and failed IVF.  Although it hurts, it stinks, and it's so horrible, it has made me realize that A.) I do, really really, want children.  Some women / couples think they want children, and then when they get here, they wonder what they were thinking, they wish they would have waited.  That's not me.  I know I want children, and that I am ready. B.)  I also have realized that,  yet again, I have really amazing friends...The way every single one of them banded together to make me feel better, to get a plan of action for IVF # 2 immediantly after number 1 failed, I don't know what I would have done without them.  I love you guys!

Day 1: What was a changing moment in your life?

The day I realized that I would marry Matt one day.  I had known him all of my life, but never really spoken to him.  He is a first cousin to one of my best friends, and at the time, they were both living with their grandparents..I stayed with her one night, and she went to bed early....So he and I spent the night talking..for like 8 straight hours...I never would have imagined that we would have had so much in common..The next morning I told her that I would marry him some day...We survived a diagnosis with cancer and a year long breakup, but sure enough, we celebrated our two year wedding anniversary on Monday!
