miscellany monday

one. take me out to the ballgame.

friday night after work, i went to watch some baseball for the first time this season.  my little brother is a senior this year, and it kills me.  i wish he were little again.  it's sad to know in a few months, his life will change so much.  i hate growing up : (

two. spring cleaning! i started it this weekend..seemed fitting with this weekend marking the beginning of spring.  it took me hours to get my small laundry room, kitchen, and living room finished.  to the naked eye, nothing looks different except my kitchen table being moved.  but i scrubbed marks off of the walls and my baseboards, which will have to be repainted.  i also straightened up my cabinets, which were a disaster.  now i have 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms left! maybe this weekend.

three. bay isle.

this is evey's new kennel! her little bedroom is ready for when we get to bring her home! which will, hopefully, be next week some time! this kennel is amazing! it has a huge fluffy pillow inside.  it was given to us, of course, i didn't have a ton of money to go blow on a dog kennel.  but she will be sleeping in style!

four. meat pusher.

yes that's me.  i am ecstatic that two of my closest friends, who are non meat eaters, are now chicken eaters! woo hoo! what i am getting to is that saturday night, whittney and kandice and little olivia and sophia came over and we had some amazing chicken salad on croissants and chips and rotel. yummy! we then went to my cousin's for a bonfire and to let their kids romp and play...it was a good night! but my point and shoot was dead when we got there, so no photos : (

five.. beautiful day.

yesterday was not just beautiful, it was hot. it was in the 80's and nothing but blue skys! we all sat outside at my grandmother's and enjoyed the sun! addy brought her shovel and buckets and dug a nice hole in the middle of my grandmother's buttercups! haha.  it was a pretty great weekend!

  1. just stopping by from Carissa's... love the spring weather too! :) Wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you guys. This is my first time here, but I read your "About Me" and you're not alone! My husband and I have been struggling with Infertility for almost 6 years. We just brought home our son from Ethiopia though. No matter how you become parents it's worth all the pain and heartbreak when it does happen. Praying it happens SOON for you guys because I know that it's a horribly painful road to travel and I'm so sorry for that.
