Randomness.....

Just a little catching up...So where I stand now in my IVF cycle..I began birth control on Monday for my down reg cycle..It is high in estrogen and pretty much low in everything else..Let me tell you, it's been some kind of week..I was in bed by 7 p.m every night this week...Nausea was so intense and I was SO tired by this time, my husband had to wash dinner dishes every night...and the one night he asked me why I was going to bed early, I bawled uncontrollably...I am thinking to myself, if the birth control is making me this sick and emotional after a few days, what in the world are the shots going to do to me?  Geesh...

Jan 27th we go back to FAM for the teaching session with the nurse.  We also have to pay the big money that day...and unfortunately, we didn't save enough to not have to take some out of our already small savings account...But God has this in control, and he won't give us anything we can't handle. 

Jan 30th I start my Lupron injections, which brings me to the next topic.  I received my Gonal F free, around 2400.00 worth of injections, which I am so thankful for...The rest of the medication is not free.  So my wonderful nurse, Joanna, told me I may have to have Menopur, which is around 90 bucks a vial, and I would need roughly 10 vials, Lupron is 417 a box, Progesterone Injections around 36 a box, etc...Which is more expenses I didn't necessarily plan for....But I got the call last week, and they seem to think I won't need Menopur....So I was still planning on close to 700 for the rest of the medications...Well, Freedom Fertility Pharmacy called me today to go over the order sent in by Joanna...I am getting a 2 week supply of generic Lupron, Progesterone injections / vaginal suppositories, 2 rounds of antibiotics, Prednisone steroids, a couple Valium...all for 317.26!!!!! I literally shouted at the poor lady and told her she'd made my day!!!!! God is just working miracles for us....

January 31, I go back to FAM for my trial transfer, stop taking bcp on Feb 1, and go for my baseline ultrasound and blood work Feb 9, in which I will get the rest of my schedule and dosage instructions for Gonal F.  If everything goes as planned, and please continue to pray that it does, egg retrieval is scheduled for the week of February 21st!!!!  It's coming so quickly now!

On a different note, I start a new job on Tuesday...I still work for the same company, I am just moving from bank teller to the loan accounting department.  I won't have to deal with any customers and will be basically scanning loans into the system and some filing and putting loans together! I am so excited and so blessed to have this opportunity...I feel like it will be a less stressful and more germ free environment for me during this time..and my wonderful "supervisor" has boy/girl twins from an IVF cycle!
