I gave myself a shot! this is such an accomplishment for me..I am so scared of needles that it is in my file at our family doctor to make me lie down when the needle comes out... my first shot of lupron was last night..I got on the floor, stretched out, closed my eyes and held my breath...and didn't feel the needle go in or come out when my hubs gave me the shot... since we won't be around each other at shot time tomorrow night, I had to work up the nerve and learn...so I did it! and I think i did great, i didn't even bleed... So far, no side effects to the Lupron, besides itching at the injection sight, but I have only had 2 shots, so maybe I won't .....
I had my trial transfer today. I was so nervous...I didn't know what to expect but I knew there would be a speculum involved and I HATE those things...I had to have a full bladder, so I used the restroom right before I left at 8:30 a.m...I arrived in Memphis at 10:30....Sat in a room wrapped in in a piece of paper until 1..So by then, I was hurting... As soon as they put the ultrasound wand on my tummy, Dr. Ke said "whoa thats a huge bladder!" hehe...It literally took him 30 seconds to find my uterus and get the cathetar in there....he seemed very pleased and said that I am just so "easy all the way around." He said all tests, bloodwork, and ultrasounds have looked great so far.... So, so far, so good! Thank you God!
