miscellany monday
*one* the sickness. will it ever go away? commonly referred to in the south as "the crud." it begins as a sore throat, changes to congestion and your head weighing fifty pounds and your nose all stuffy, the snot and drainage starts...ugh..i have went through a shot, a z pak of antibiotics, and im still sick. frankly im really tired of it.
*two.* christmas shopping. i am definitely a procrastinator. i am not one of these people who finishes her shopping the month after christmas for the next year. i don't have the will to do it. this year we aren't buying for as many people, so my christmas list is as follows:

i got all of these gifts out of the way on saturday. shopping centers were packed full of crazies! i got all of the gifts above for around 105 dollars...that's pretty good! by the time you add the rest of the gifts, we will be at under 200 dollars for everyone...which is great compared to last year..we bought for several more people and spent almost 500 on christmas gifts, and didn't even buy each other gifts.
*three*. i so admire professional photographers. i take little non professional, doesn't even touch professional pictures as a hobby. the hobby is more of the love of collecting photos instead of taking them. i have books upon books and hard drives crammed full of photo's i have taken over the years, simply because i love to go back and look at them. here lately, i have been doing some for family because...well they asked me to.....and i don't mind doing them for family because if they turn out horribly then i won't feel bad because it is all in good fun. and i would be spending the time it takes with family anyways, so why not snap a few pictures. here lately i have been getting emails from "friends" who all of a sudden are friendly and want me to come take a christmas card picture for them or this or that...which to me means i don't want to pay someone to do it professionally so why don't you come donate your time to me...i'm just venting i guess...but i am very hard on myself, so what if i go do this and they turn out bad and ...well it goes downhill from there. i don't do this, nor do i know that much about it. i worry at the idea of it...ugh, this is why i admire people that have the patience and creativity to do this professional, like my friend kandice... she takes amazing pictures and when i finally do get that huge pregnant belly that i'm so jealous of, i can't wait to have her do mine <3
